Join us on Saturdays at the Koorliny Arts Centre in Term 4 for our Mixed Media Art class for 5-10-year-olds.
This term we will be focussing on all things using media such as clay, found objects and painting.

Saturday, 31 October - Kooky Clay Creatures (ceramic hand-building)
Learn how to prep clay and develop hand-building skills. Design and sculpt a creature from the depths of your imagination!
Includes underglaze and bisque firing. *Optional glaze firing additional $5.

Saturday, 14 November - Painting Race (painting & drawing)
Ready, set, paint! Let's see who can paint the fastest. After a much-needed painting rest, let's use acrylics and paint a scene using the results of our 'painting race'.
Saturday, 28 November - Balancing Sculptures (sculptural assemblage)
Explore the work of Calder and Miro and create sculptures that work in partnership with the earth's natural force of gravity. Students are given a sculptural base, magnets and a plethora of found materials to create their balancing sculptures.
Saturday, 12 December - Galaxy Painting (assemblage, acrylic paint pouring)
In this fun class, we construct geometric towers using wood blocks and pour a psychedelic, space rainbow using high-flow acrylic paint.
